About the Course
Testing & Inspection qualifications are aimed at practicing electricians who have not yet carried out inspection and testing since qualifying or are required to update their training prior to undertaking further electrical training.
This qualification is also designed for candidates who have limited experience such as newly qualified apprentices or who have been working in different sectors of the industry.
This regulated qualification is for learners that wish to demonstrate their knowledge in all aspects of testing electrical installation systems in the UK.
It combines both the Initial Verification and the Periodic Inspection and condition reporting of electrical installation and is based primarily on BS7671 18th Edition and the IET Guidance Note 3.
This qualification is part of a suite of electrical qualifications including BS7671, Initial Verification, Periodic Inspection (Condition Reporting).
Pre-Requisites:
There are no formal pre-requisites to his qualification but it is recommended that learners should have suitable knowledge of electrical theory and ideally be working within the electrical industry.
Learners should ideally hold a formal level 3 electrical qualification and a current BS7671 qualification

Online Multiple Choice Open Book Exam x3:
-Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations: 25 Questions 50 Mins Pass Mark 75%
-The Initial Verification of Electrical Installations: 10 Questions 20 Minutes Pass Mark 70%
-The Periodic Inspection and Testing and Condition Reporting of Electrical Installations 15 Questions 30 Minutes Pass Mark 70%
Practical Exam including visual exercise, testing on test rig.
